A Curious Case of a Perfect Sherri
As far as she remembered herself, she has been always striving for perfection.
How unbearable it is to be a perfect little girl living in an imperfect world.
Perfectly playing a role of a perfect student, worker, wife, mother.
Marrying a perfect guy.
Moving to a big city to live a perfect life near the perfect ocean - that should have been her perfect destiny.
But it didn't work - an imperfect world destroyed her dreams again.
Of course, it is never her fault.
What's next???
Moving back to her imperfect little town and trying to make everything perfect again.
Marrying another totally perfect guy.
Having a perfect wedding.
Having two perfectly adorable children.
Living a perfect housewife life.
But some time passed, and imperfection raised its ugly head again.
The perfect guy turned out to be an annoying, controlling weirdo, who barely makes enough to support her, her perfect house, her perfect children, and her perfect hobbies.
Adorable children are noisy, don't behave, and take too much of her energy, despite all her perfect efforts.
Instead of planning a next project for her perfect little house, she has to sell some of her perfect clothes online just to make end meet.
This is not a life she was planning for!!!
And yes, she is a meticulous planner, because only meticulous planning can make everything perfect.
So it's time to plan something new.
A new start, a new escape, a new beginning.
A new vacation, a new perfect adventure.
But she needs somebody who she can share it with. Of course, not her mediocre, annoying husband.
So she goes online.
And meet guys.
And flirts with them.
Or maybe more. Or less. Or maybe something in between, just enough to make it perfect.
She makes a plan, a perfect plan.
She will go to a big city by the ocean again, to a different big city.
She will change her name, her appearance, her style, her everything.
She will never be trapped in the imperfect small world again.
She is an excellent planner.
She looks for haircut ideas online.
She buys wigs and tries them on.
She stashes her favorite clothes in a secret hiding place and takes money from the bank little by little, not to attract her husband's attention.
She sets a date, a perfect date - three weeks before Thanksgiving, just to annoy her disappointing husband even more.
What is he is going to do for Thanksgiving without her???
But she doesn't care, she just want to be free.
And then the day comes.
One of the perfect guys she met online comes in a small white car and takes her to San Fransisco.
What kind of a perfect story she told him?
We don't know, but sometimes knights in shining armor have a white car instead of a white horse...
Everything was going perfect.
She had great time for a while, but then an imperfect reality raised its ugly head again.
But she planned everything so perfectly, why didn't it go on perfect???
It must have been his fault!!!
Defeated and discouraged, she had to return to her imperfect little world.
But wait - there's still hope!
If she plans everything again and tries again, there may be another big city in her future, glamorous and waiting.
And who knows, maybe this time if she starts from scratch and plans better, it will finally work.
If only her story could be perfect this time...
***********************
And now is the short summary of the previous episodes. :-))
Sherri is bored with her home-bound life and has a "7-year itch". She finds a guy online and give him a lot of BS about how her husband abuses her and such. She asks for his help to run away. She wants to go to a big city (San Fransisco) because it's easier to get lost there, and she always liked big cities. She cuts her hair (or takes out extensions) before leaving. Maybe even wears a wig or color her hair dark with a temporary hair dye.
The guy comes and pick her up. He is a white guy in a small white car (if Latinas were in a big black SUV, he must have been in a small white car :-))) They go to San Fransisco and have a good time, but it doesn't end well. Or she simply doesn't like him too much, it's too cold in the city, his apartment is too small, etc., etc., etc. So she decides to come back.
She researches online stories about her disappearance and comes out with a perfect plan. If they think she was kidnapped, she will be kidnapped. :-)) She knows how to injure herself so it will look impressive and much worse than it is. She asks the guy to drop her off somewhere in Yolo County, and spends a couple of nights there in an abandoned or empty barn, "working" on herself. She doesn't have much to eat or drink, so she loses some weight. She gets clamps and chains from the barn, and made herself looking like she "escaped". It is cold, dark, and uncomfortable there, but it has be perfect, so she tries really, really hard and succeeds. The rest of the story is well-known to everybody. :-)
